The past few days were real busy. Had a great day at the races. I was able to make the top 20 in Stock rally. Tucker claimed the Super Stock World Champ title. I hope everyone had a chance to watch on the web. Today will be busy, boxing cars, packing, & being on the set for 25 hill. Will post a weekend roundup soon.

Wildwater Fun
These wheels are made for speed!
The last run down the hill before the big race. Jarrid Youngers took me by half a car length, mostly because of a fast set of wheels. The alignment is square & spindles adjusted for the Championship runs. This year the wheels are sponsored by Geico and are white.
The Badge Trading event was a blast, I ended up with over 20 shirts. The music was loud and people danced in the rain. A groundhog made a mad dash across the field to escape the ground shaking event with 100s of racers.

Off and rolling full speed ahead.
The Speghetti Warehouse Region 1 get to gether was fun, with parents & champs they were not able to fit us all in one room.
My car was VIPd and I am running heat 101 / lane 2 (1st heat of rally). Both people I am running against are from the East Coast, so most likely have raced this track more than me. But lane 2 is the lane that beat be last year (I was in lane 3)
Today we don't have to show up at the track until 11:30 for weigh-in and adjustments. We will also get our 1st trial run today.
Check in was busy, arrived almost 2 hours early & was 60th in line. The derby families have some fun with Mr Boyle.. getting the Akron Police to frisk and cuff him (There is a picture in the photo albem to the right)
We all were escorted by the police to outside the Astro's ball park where we signed in and threw stuff out to the crowds. I was able to gab a few items as they were tossed out.
The rest of the day was spent swimming and relaxing. Had pizza with Wes. Overall it was a good day.

73rd AASBD Championship Page
http://aasbd.net/webdev/aasbd73/index.html
Race week is starting to shape up and looks to be one of the best ever. It looks like heat results will be posted by the AASBD via twiter (http://twitter.com/aasbdorg). I see a reference to a Web Cast on http://www.youtube.com/user/aasbdorg .
We still have a lot of things to do in the next few days. Setting up for the Art Fair then getting packed. In 5 days we are off. We will post boring pictures of our travels.

Cars are in Akron
The Car crates have arrived in Akron, ready for inspection. We had a button making party at the Youngers so we could be ready for the badge exchange party.
Next is to get everything set up for the Art Fair. A lot of things going on and stuff to do in the next few days... then it's off to Ohio!

2010 Road to Derby Downs
Sorry for the LONG lapse in posting, 6th grade was a lot harder than derby racing! My blogging fell prey to homework, derby rallies, reading, and track & field (I managed to sneak some video gaming in)
The stock rally circuit was real competitive this year and I managed to squeeze by as the points leader for Region One. So on July 17th I’m off to Akron Ohio on for the BIG race on July 24th and my very last run in a stock car. I hope to go out in style.
My good friends and close competitors, Cameron Russell and Paige Geer deserve special mention; sadly they withdrew from the rally program for personal reasons. I can only hope myself, Jarritt Youngers, and Alex Lemke will do the Pacific Northwest proud.
The next step is crating the cars up for the long journey to Akron.
